Leopards can be found in different parts of the world such as Asia, Africa and America. Their habitats are in forests, mountains, grasslands and also deserts. There are different types of leopards such as the snow leopard. Leopards mostly live Africa with some living in India, Malaysia and China.
Leopards are solitary animals and hunt alone and not in packs. Leopards are mammals and are in the cat family. The scientific name for a leopard is Panthera Pardus. A male leopard is called a leopard and a female leopard is called a leopardess.
Leopards are also about two to three feet tall, and they can be between 80-200 pounds. I would suggest not to run because they can leap up to 20 feet! They have a loss of habitat and hunting for their fur are big threats to leopards. They are a threatened species in Africa and in many places in the world.
