8th Grade Goal Animations

In ICT class we are learning animation, design, and visual communication. Recently each student created a “Goals Animation” using the free online animation software Powtoon.

Here are the results of our first experiment. Click on each student’s name to also see their biography.

As a great motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, once said:

“Our life goal is like a life jacket that will immediately lift us up when we are sinking emotionally.”

You may not notice it, but the goals you keep with you guide your way forward in life. You are able to maintain a clear path on your long journey. That’s the importance of these goals. They give you a purpose. I personally feel that it’s important to have at least one, even if they’re way out of your reach. You’ve just got to try and try and keep trying. Sometimes it takes 10 years to get that one year that will change your life.

Trust me, it’s all worth it in the end.

Ricky

Hello! My name is Ricky and I’m proud to present to you all my very first Powtoon Project. This project will let you know a few of my dreams and ambitions. To whom it may concern, this project is what I call an inspirational project. Dreams are often too easy to be forgotten or too easy to give up on but if you persist and try to keep BELIEVING, TRYING and DREAMING, all your goals shall become reality!

Keep Dreaming!

Hey guys. I have been working on a PowToon animation for the last few weeks, and I am finally done with it. Even though I’ve put in effort, this is my first try, therefore it isn’t perfect. This video is mainly about what I want to achieve this year: being a student, a daughter, and a friend. To be one at a time is fine, however being all three at the same time is harder than people might think. I’ve also listed my life-long dreams in this video. Thank you for taking your time watching this video. I hope you enjoy.

This is my first POWTOON, and it contains my dreams and goals. I used kid props to make cute scenes in my POWTOON. And I used background videos for some slides. I am thankful to you guys for taking the time to watch my video. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Setting a goal can benefit one’s life, where dreams take time to grow. I made a Powtoon Project based on the goals that I have. The project simply describes my ambitions and dreams. But a goal is hard to achieve and people must have the potential and effort to achieve their goals. I believe that everyone has a goal but we have to take action and make plans for success. I always think that goals can be achieved in a variety of ways, but it also depends on the decisions I make.

A goal without a plan is just a wish

Mirror Mirror

On the wall,

I’ll always get up

After I fall.

And whether I run,

Walk or have to crawl,

I’ll set my goals and

Achieve them all.

Day by Day…goal by goal…You are GOING to get to where you WANT to be! You must continue to believe in YOUrself and YOUr dreams…always…

I believe one of the best ways to achieve your goals is to surround yourself with people who have dreams, goals, and ambition. A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.

James

My name is James and I am in 8th grade with great friends. I love them all. I want to go through my life with happiness! I am funny sometimes. I love sports like basketball and soccer, but my passion is to become a robotics engineer. I love music too! I can play guitar and sing. I learned guitar when I was 10 from my dad. Now I am 14 and it is my last year in middle school. It is bad but good at the same time! I am going to miss middle school with friends hanging out but at the same time, 9th grade will be good for me as it is the freshman year of high school. I will have to focus on studying for my future! #ROBOTICS!
