Hello, my name is Kim and this is my final ICT project. For our final ICT project, Ms. Kristin assigned us to develop and propose an independent project with options including: web design, graphic design, digital illustration, mixed media, a blog series, video, animation, interaction design, multimedia, and gaming.

ME! by Taylor Swift featuring Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco
First off, I’m going to start by saying that I love Taylor Swift. I don’t really show it enough, but I LOVE her. I’ve been listening to her music since I was 7 or so, and I’ve seen her go through her different albums. I bought the Cornetto ice cream in the Philippines with her face on it, and I listen to her music on a daily basis.

Way through Crashes
My Final Project planned was to make a music track and animate it. Just making the music track took me around 4 weeks and finding it daunting to really animate, I decided to make an audio spectrum instead.
I used programs like FL Studio, Filmora, and After Effects. Most of my time again was used trying to work through the crashes. As these programs are big and somewhat complicated, they tend to get buggy and crash suddenly. Partially, because of my laptop and also my complicated project.
Finally, perfectionist me hated giving up and I am proud to present another work of my soundtracks after all the struggle. The name is WildFire. I had to put it as Remix as the acapella was used from a royalty-free source. I hope you all enjoy it.
Colors in Black and White
I edited this picture with Gimp, thinking that it would be easy. Changing the colors to black and white? Easy. Coloring in the leaves with different colors? Time consuming. However, I still pushed through it, because I thought it had a good message. Even though life can be bleak and dark at times, there will always be those things that shine out in color. It might be sappy, but I think it fits in with my picture.

The Role Model
Week Without Walls is both educational and fun. Being a role model is not an easy task but it’s worth a try. Now let me introduce you to a friend of mine, one of the great role models.
Role model – a person looked to by others as an example to be imitated. (Oxford Dictionaries)
My shortest friend, Riah, with an animal
I didn’t know I could master GIMP this easily. It’s probably because I had some experiences with Photoshop. I’ve always wanted to transform my friend using digital effects and as soon as Ms. Kristen assigned this project to us, all I could think was to incorporate my shortest friend, Riah, with an animal.
Compared to Photoshop, GIMP was a lot harder to use. After watching some videos about GIMP, I finally found out that it was really similar to Photoshop: the tools, the words, and the templates were really similar. As long as it’s free, I’m really looking forward to using GIMP in the future.
A Retro Collage
I started this project with no clear idea in mind and followed through the entire process solely based on intuition. Continue reading

Today, I bring you an edit that I made using GIMP. I’ll walk you through the steps of creating this edit in the following photos.

Digital Illustrations
As someone who doesn’t really do art, this project, at first, was an obstacle for me to overcome. Firstly, I never really liked drawing, nor did I excel in it. Second of all, I hated doing digital art, since I found it really hard to draw on paper, so what was the difference between paper and a screen? Apparently, a lot.
